Miracles in the Quran

Honey Bee

Allah SWT says in the Quran: "Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect." (Quran 16 : 69)

In this one verse, Allah mentions three scientific truths that science discovered centuries later:

1. Bees have multiple stomachs. The Qur’an says honey comes from “their bellies.” Modern science later discovered that bees have two stomachs — one for digestion and a special honey stomach for storing nectar.

2. Only female bees make honey — the male bees do not make honey. The Qur’an uses feminine verbs when describing bees. Today we know that all honey-producing, nectar-collecting bees are female.

3. Honey has healing and medicinal properties. The Qur’an says, “In it is healing for mankind.” Modern research confirms honey’s antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing powers.

Honey Bee

Allah SWT inspired the bee, saying: "Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect." [Quran 16:69]

In this single verse, Allah mentions three scientific truths that science discovered centuries later:

1. Bees have multiple stomachs.

2. Only female bees produce honey.

3. Honey has healing properties.

Bees Have Multiple Stomachs

The Qur'an's mention of the bee in Surah An-Nahl is extremely remarkable. It uses the word “bellies” in the plural form — and today, modern science confirms that a honey bee actually has two stomachs.

...There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues... [Quran 16 : 69]

Science now explains that:

1. Honey stomach (nectar sac): Designed for collecting and carrying nectar.

2. Digestive stomach: Used for digesting its own food.

When bees return to their hive, they release the untouched nectar from the honey stomach into the honeycomb, keeping it completely pure. When the Qur’an was revealed 1400 years ago, no one knew bees had a separate honey stomach.

Allah SWT says in the Quran: "Do they not ponder on the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy." (Qur'an 4 - 82)

The accuracy of these details shows the Qur’an’s divine origin, conveying precise biological truths long before science discovered them.

Female Bees Produce Honey

Only female bees make honey — the male bees do not make honey. Science confirms this, but the Qur’an told us this fact more than 1400 years ago.

Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee)... [Quran 16:69]

For the word "eat": "Kuli" is for females ; "Kul" is for males . The Quran used "Kuli" (females).

For the word "follow the ways": "Usluki" is for females; "Usluk" is for males. The Quran used "Usluki" (females).

For the word "their bellies": "butuniha" is for females; "butunihim" is for males. The Quran used "butuniha" (females).

This information, revealed in the Qur'an more than 1400 years ago but discovered by modern science recently, is yet another proof that the Qur'an is the Word of Allah.

Honey Has Healing Properties

The Qur’an says that honey contains healing for people, and modern science confirms this.

Here are health benefits of honey:

Honey boosts immunity, soothes the throat, heals wounds, and is rich in natural antioxidants — a healing gift Allah placed within nature. Honey is not just a sweetener — it is a natural medicine, full of healing, strength, and nourishment.

Coincidence or a sign of Allah?

The mystery of the genetic code of the bee in the Quran.

All the bees in the world have the same number of chromosomes, and that never changes. Male and female animals generally have the same number of chromosomes, but the bee is slightly different, because the male bee has 16 single chromosomes and the female has 16 pairs.

This scientific fact is miraculously indicated in the Qur'an. The Surah Nahl (Chapter 16 - The Bee) means the bee is the 16th surah of the Qur'an, and 16 is the number of chromosomes these animals possess. You call this coincidence?. This fact solidifies the contention that the QURAN is a divine miracle.
